Privacy Policy
FreshLensIAS is operated by FreshLens Education OPC Private Limited. This policy describes what personal information freshlensias.com collects, why, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025.
What we collect and why
- Account information: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. Used to create and operate your free member account.
- Messages: the name, email and message you send through the contact form or on WhatsApp. Used only to reply to you.
- Order and delivery details: when you order physical study materials, your name, phone number, delivery address and order details. Used to process, ship and support your order. Payments are handled by our payment partner; we do not see or store your card or banking details.
- Session cookie: a cookie that keeps you logged in during your visit. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How information is used and shared
Your information is used to operate the website, deliver member content, fulfil orders and respond to you. It is not sold, and it is not shared for marketing. It is shared only with the services needed to run the site: Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), our hosting provider, our payment partner (for purchases), courier partners (to deliver physical orders), and an AI service that processes newspaper clipping images uploaded by the FreshLensIAS team, not by members. Beyond this, information is disclosed only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for: your account details until you ask us to delete your account, messages until your query is resolved, and order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Information that is no longer needed is deleted.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask us for a summary of the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or updated, have it erased, and withdraw any consent you have given, as easily as you gave it. You can also nominate a person to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to.
To exercise any of these rights, or for any privacy question or grievance, write to hello@freshlensias.com from the email address linked to your account. We acknowledge requests within 2 working days and aim to resolve them promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Our programmes and website are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data breaches
If a data breach affects your personal information, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy as our services or the law change, and the latest version is always on this page. This version is effective from 18 September 2026.
